We Are Followers of Christ
As we continue to be transformed by the leading of the Holy Spirit, scripture, and our community of believers, we are learning how to be followers of our Lord, Jesus. We encourage personal communion with God, becoming aware of how God speaks to us, and cultivating creative collaboration with God to find meaning in this world. We value self-reflection and seek a holistic, integrated life in Christ.
We are a Family
At Boise Friends, we hope you will find love and acceptance, refuge from pain, and a sense of belonging, no matter where your faith is and no matter your life situation. Christ calls us to love one another and be united as one body. We are to encourage one another and build one another up, rejoicing with those who rejoice and mourning with those who mourn, caring for those who have need. We seek authentic relationships. Boise Friends hosts a variety of fellowship opportunities to facilitate growth together.
We are ministers of Christ’s love
“This is how much God loved the world: He gave his Son, his one and only Son. And this is why: so that no one need be destroyed; by believing in him, anyone can have a whole and lasting life. God didn’t go to all the trouble of sending his Son merely to point an accusing finger, telling the world how bad it was. He came to help, to put the world right again.” In today’s world, we seek to join in on the ongoing ministry of Jesus Christ. We consider all people equal in the body of Christ, making us all ministers of God’s grace and love. We strive to bring healing and hope to the world around us. We seek to do this in spiritual and also practical ways, meeting the needs around us as we are able. Check out our ministries page to see some of the ways we are being led to reach out to those around us. If you feel called to join in one of our ministries or feel called to a new ministry, please contact the church office at 375-9580, so we can support you.
